About

Bob Falesch — New York.

As composer I’m into exploring the marriage of electronics with non-electronic instruments and the voice. I’m also developing purely electronic compositions. In performance I use my max-based instrument, the MetaPiano, along with softsynths constructed with various foundations such as pd, max/msp/jitter and reaktor.

I am the founder of the radio program Classical and Beyond on WNUR-89.3FM and frequently hosted it from 2001 to early 2009, before moving to upstate New York.

My production activities range from session tracking live on-site or in-studio, multi-track mixing stereo and surround sound formats such as 5.1 and the range of discrete formats such as 8.0. I also provide mastering services. I’m represented on a few commercial niche CD releases in all of those roles.

My parallel career outside of sound and music is in software development for industrial and commercial applications (such as telephony and healthcare), which involves such languages as C/C++, C#, and Java. I continue in that field as a freelance software development contractor.
